Jeannie + Ray: Wedding In Fairfield with Julie Cheshire

What is not to love about Jeannie & Ray? They are just the most adorable, sweetest people you could ever meet. Julie of Julie Cheshire Photography and I shot their engagement session last year in Golden Gate Park and we were just so surprised that their wedding was already upon us. Here's a glimpse of their engagement pics.

They were just as sweet as we had remembered. Jeannie is just beautiful. She is constantly smiling and is just a kind, genuine person. We were with her as she got ready for her big day. (Her Jimmy Choos were just to die for!)

I absolutely loved the flower she had in her hair. This is actually one of my favorite pictures of the day.

She couldn't have asked for a better day. Not too hot, not too cold. The event was held at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield. The setting was beautiful.

I loved the girls' bouquets. The bright yellow aster looked fabulous against the espresso-colored satin gowns.

We wandered around the golf course after the ceremony for some shots of just them and we only got shooed off the course once!

I really, really liked the touches they gave to their reception. The favors were little jars of walnuts from ray's family's farm. And all of the tables were named after places from Lord of the Rings. There was of course Gondor and The Shire among others. Too cool!

They danced their first dance to 311's Love Song, Jeannie beaming the whole time.

There were some excellent toasts, including one by Ray's brother and best man. He brought out Ray's adolescent poster of Carmen Electra and bid her farewell since ray now had a far more important female in his life.

And then the party was on! It was a great group of people and they had the dance floor packed all night long with some fancy stepping and lots of laughter. (And I think they had a little captain in them by the end.)

It was a great day and, after 8 years of dating, they were finally husband and wife! Thanks, Jeannie and Ray, you guys were awesome!

However far away, I will always love you
However long I stay, I will always love you
Whatever words I say, I will always love you
I will always love you

Engagement Session at Baker Beach

I spent Thursday evening with a really fabulous couple: Gillian & Blake. I've known Gillian for a little while now. She's also in the wedding industry and is an incredibly talented florist. She serves the entire bay area so I very strongly recommend you check out her stuff at www.gillianmarieevents.com. I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it.

So onto the shoot… We met at this great grove of trees in the Presidio. Traffic was particularly hairy so we got a late start but the pictures were fantastic nonetheless. I mean, can you really take a bad picture of a couple this cute? Gillian has this bright, easy smile that just lights up her face (and Blake's too).

We then moved on to Baker Beach. It was a beautiful night. The air wasn't too chilly or windy and the water wasn't all that cold either (and I'm a huge wuss about the cold). We played around the battery chamberlain to get some grungy shots of them.

We got to watch the sun set over Baker Beach. The session was more about "beach" than "San Francisco Beach" so, while the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge was clear that night, it wasn't our focus. The couple met in San Diego and Blake proposed on the beach there so the sand and sea have a special place for them.

I had them run through the water and never would have guessed that Blake was such a splasher!

I really really love this shot and the sand still on Gillian's hands. She's just beautiful but so far from a primadonna about getting sandy or wet. It's just great!

And her wee 5'3" frame gave me the perfect opportunity for one of my favorite shots.

They were just a stunning couple. So carefree and loving.

I had a great time! See you guys soon!

Annie + Keith: Wedding in St. Helena with Julie Cheshire

I still can't get over last weekend's wedding between Annie & Keith. I spent the day in wine country with Julie of Julie Cheshire Photography photographing this absolutely adorable couple.

We started the day at Harvest Inn in St. Helena where the guys and the girls were getting ready. Harvest Inn is absolutely beautiful and reminiscent of some hidden New England treasure with its brick buildings and little shaded paths everywhere.

I absolutely loved Annie's flowers. The girls had bright yellow calla lilies with a humble green leaf wrap around the stems. Annie's bouquet was made of green-tipped white callas with a trio of leaf wraps down the stems. I really loved the simplicity.

Her dress fit her like a glove. It was ivory chiffon with white lace appliqués all over it. The color difference really came out when she was outside in natural light. It looked perfect on her.

Oh, and the guys' ensembles was so great. They all wore khaki Banana Republic suits, white shirts, and brown Converse chucks given to them as a surprise the night before by Keith. They looked so good!

Though Keith was quite nervous, the ceremony at Tra Vigne went off without a hitch. It was presided over by a family friend which made it all the more personal.

I had never been to a wedding at Tra Vigne before but loved the feel of it all. It's a restaurant that had given the outdoor patio space to Annie and Keith. There were twinkling lights in the trees and white daisies, yellow rose petals, and yellow calla lilies everywhere.

It was such a beautiful wedding and Annie and Keith were nothing short of sweet and cute. They danced their first dance together to "Losing You" by John Butler Trio.

It was such a great day! Thanks, guys!

Sexy Boudoir Session with Elizabeth

Boudoir sessions are getting really hot, in more ways than one. I've seen a big trend in fashion-forward women looking into this type of photography. I was so thrilled to photograph my first one with Elizabeth. It was fun, saucy, feminine, flirty, romantic, and sexy.

The images make great wedding gifts for fiancés, anniversary presents, or just a fabulous gift for yourself!

I offer a package that includes a private session at your home, champagne, hair and makeup artistry, and a 5x7 silk or leather album of pictures. It's a perfect size to discreetly slip into his briefcase or deliver on your wedding day. This type of session is for all shapes and sizes. Another option is to have a session at a hotel.

Elizabeth was kind enough to let me display some pictures. Here are a few of the "tamer" ones. Check them out and let me know what you think!

Don't you just loooove her freckles?

So break out your best lingerie (or use this as the perfect opportunity to buy something hot) and shoot me an email. I can't wait to hear from you!

Pet Session at Crissy Field

Meet Roscoe! This was just the cutest Yorkie ever.

I met Roscoe a month or so ago at a Yap Wraps fashion show in Ghiardelli Square. There were several yorkies but Roscoe was definitely the cutest. I met up with him and his mother, Jennifer, last weekend for a pet session at Crissy Field with this 8 month old bundle of fluff.

Take a look at some of the adorable shots we got of Roscoe:

He is the epitome of puppy. He just hopped along everywhere and was a ball of sunshine. So happy, so frisky, so sweet.

We went to the beach and Roscoe wanted to make friends with just about every other dog out there.

And if one yorkie pup was cuteness overload, you'll want to divert your attention from Roxie, Roscoe's girlfriend. Roxie was just a two month old wee thing and she was just adorable (though quite cold out there on the beach).

I had a great time with you three; thanks so much!
