Stacy + Mike: An Engagement Session along Boathouse Row

Meet Stacy and Mike. Stacy and Mike look like they belong in an ad or the cover of a college pamphlet. They are such a good looking couple with fantastic smiles.

(See what I mean?)

We met at the Philadelphia Art Museum to go over some details before heading out for their engagement shoot on possibly the last absolutely beautiful day of 2009. The temperature was just right, it wasn't too crowded, and the sun was shining on the Schuchyll River and Philly's famous Boathouse Row.

Stacy had chosen Kelly Drive because she just loves the doors along Boathouse Row and she and Mike shared one of their first dates there.

Mike didn't quite know we were taking pictures that day but he was dressed perfectly for them. He is known for his sneakers. So much so that Stacy once threw him a party that had a dress code of formal attire paired with sneakers. How fun is that?

After four years of their fateful meeting, they will be getting married this spring at Stotesbury Mansion in Philly and I can't wait!

To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.

I love the area around the art-museum and the Water Works. I imagine you probably get there a lot with your Philly couples? I'm not much of a portrait shooter, but I like to go there as often as possible. It's an incredible place at night (I have a night photo from there called
Temple of Lights"
