Kelly Anne: a Snowy Portrait Session at Smedley Park

I have a confession to make: I hate being cold. HATE it! A white, snowy day is gorgeous but I'm perfectly content looking at it through a window with a mug of hot chocolate and plenty of sweatshirts, blankets, and fireplaces to keep me warm.

That being said, I ventured out into the snow in Springfield to Smedley Park and I am in love with the results. Portraits in the snow have some sort of magic about them. I may be past listening to 1060am for school closings, but there is that special feeling that comes with those pretty little snowflakes.

Kelly Anne made it look like nothing. I assure you she was cold but you'd never know looking at the pictures. Her stunning blue eyes and curly black hair were the perfect accessories to this wintery January day.

See for yourself!

Thanks for getting me into the snow, Kelly Anne. It was sooo worth it but I think we've both hit our frozen quota for the year.

I had a fabulous boudoir session with the gorgeous Charlie the other week. She has one lucky guy. Besides a whole host of adjectives, is there much more to say?

We giggled and played and here are the results:

Charlie, thank you so much for letting me share these awesome pictures. You were an absolute blast!

p.s. Valentine's Day is right around the corner. If we schedule a boudoir session for this week (1/31-2/5) I promise I will get your pictures up in time for you to order and get them back. But we have to shoot asap! To sweeten the deal, I'm offering $100 off the session fee. How's that for a Happy Valentine's Day?

Nesting Urges

I don't know what has gotten into me lately but I have this inexplicable lust for more space, a new bed, big windows, fresh flowers in every room, white washed kitchens, wood furniture with chipped paint, gauzy curtains, and lots of sunshine. My trip to Ikea yesterday probably didn't help matters. And I love Pottery Barn but I really wish they wouldn't cram so much stuff into their pictures.

I'll order all of the following, please:

My kitchens (that's right, I'll have several)

Bedrooms
(Note the canopy bed. I saw this pic in the book The Comforts of Home by Atlanta Bartlett and I've been obsessed with this bedroom ever since! The bed, white washed floors, big mirror casually resting on the floor, old lockers, bench, sunlight... drool. )

Pottery Barn
(I really wish they wouldn't pile so much stuff on the beds. I think I'd drown in all those pillows.)

(And why not?!)

That's not too much to ask, right? So what do you think of my crib?
